Personalised Assessments and
Seminar Programmes
Wellness Checks offer a range of health and wellness assessments from
a Mini Health Screen to a Comprehensive Medical Fitness and Stress Assessment
using modern and traditional methods of assessment.
The assessments are generally 30-60 minutes duration and provide the
basis from which a detailed report and personalised action plan is tailored.
Options include the following.
- Mini Health Screen The screening includes blood pressure, glucose,
cholesterol check with mini questionnaire on lifestyle, dietary and
stress indicators. This is designed to allow for a quick assessment
of basic health indicators.
- Comprehensive Medical Examination This examination
covers a full physical examination by a qualified Medical Doctor. It
includes a full history questionnaire, and a full physical examination
including the cardiovascular, respiratory and gastrointestinal systems.
As well, a coronary risk factor screening providing full blood count,
fasting glucose, fasting cholesterol, lipids, renal, liver and thyroid
function will be undertaken. Other examinations and pathology testings
are recommended as appropriate, for example a 12 lead ECG Stress Test.
A full report of the findings is provided.
Maharishi Vedic Medicine is the world’s most ancient and comprehensive

The Vedic Medicine Assessment includes a comprehensive assessment by
a Maharishi Vedic Medicine Specialist. It includes a questionnaire detailing
daily routines, dietary and lifestyle preferences, needs of your current
body type, medical history, exercise profile and stress indicators. Examinations
cover pulse analysis, a unique and sophisticated Vedic Medicine diagnostic
technique, blood pressure and cholesterol levels as well as an assessment
of current symptoms of imbalance and your present needs.
This assessment coupled with the Mini Health Screen or Comprehensive
Medical Examination provides the basis for the design of a comprehensive
programme specifically for you. It includes nutritional, lifestyle and
fitness recommendations for helping you maintain or restore balance to
the mind and body. For serious illness we recommend you adopt our programme
alongside your doctor’s. Your progress can be monitored by your
doctor, as well as by us.
The fitness test includes analysis of your individual need for exercise,
the most appropriate form for you and your current level of fitness. It
includes assessment of traditional fitness indicators BMI, hip/waist ratio,
percentage of body fat, height and weight, lung function test, overall
muscular strength and flexibility. The assessment also covers a cardiovascular
fitness test.
Further discussion with a Fitness and Performance Trainer can result
in the development of a profile specific exercise programme tailored to
your current fitness needs and goals. By arrangement, both programmes
can be done at the same time.
If you enjoy good health, it is likely you have an understanding of what
keeps your mind and body balanced, healthy and fit. However, you need to
maintain your system in good working order to enable your body’s sophisticated
self-healing system to continue to work effectively.
The “Pro-Active” Assessment and Action Plan provides invaluable
guidelines, to help you maintain your system in good working order and
can help you to stay fit, healthy and in control.
Assessment includes examination by a qualified medical doctor and Vedic
medicine specialist. This will cover the indicators of biological aging
and an analysis of aging factors. This examination and assessment will
result in a tailored programme and action plan to enhance vitality and
youthfulness.
Maharishi Vedic Medicine identifies key times of vulnerability to illness.
We have also developed a Seasonal Health Promotion Programme which include
visits during the seasonal changes for one year which will assist to keep
you healthy and on track with your programmes.
To optimise results, the Lifecare Coaching Sessions include in depth coaching
covering topics such as nutrition, work and life balance, stress management,
personal profile analysis, personal training coaching and other topics
as required.

In this seminar you will systematically work through a process which

the signs of stress in yourself, your family and colleagues and how to
respond. As well, you will have a clear action plan to minimise the effect
of stress. A follow-up one on one assistance programme is also available.
This incorporates strategies for enjoying a healthy lifetime of pleasurable
exercise, easily built into any lifestyle, tailored to your unique needs.
Ideal for everyone from beginners to elite athletes. Every individual
has different requirements for the amount and type of exercise needed
to be healthy.
The Effortless Exercise seminar identifies unique personal profile types,
each with its own needs, strengths and talents, and gives specific recommendations
for each one.
Understanding your current personal profile provides guidelines for
- choosing the best sport or exercise;
- proper intensity and duration of each workout;
- best time of the day to exercise; and
- specific dietary needs.
This course provides an easy focus for introducing health promotion strategies
around diet, lifestyle, daily routine and general stress management all
linked to the person’s unique Personal Profile.
The goal of the Effortless Mastery Programme is to provide the individual
with the knowledge, skills and techniques required to develop effortless
expertise in the control and command of the mind, body and performance.
To develop high performance, it is critical to harness an individual’s
potential for creativity, intelligence and energy. The Effortless Mastery
Programme has been developed to assist people harness the power of their
mind and to provide the practical skills required to create and maintain
a healthy, fit and balanced body and lifestyle.

- TM Programme. One technique which systematically develops an individual’s
potential while helping to balance mind-body and behaviour is Transcendental
Meditation (TM). Through TM, the level of fatigue and stress in the
individual reduces simultaneously. This mind-body approach has been
shown to be highly effective in improving employee health, creativity,
and productivity while reducing and eliminating the detrimental effects
of stress on employee health and job performance. We utilise the TM
Technique in our Effortless Mastery Programme for those who wish to
master the skills of perfect balance and effortless high performance.
This programme includes instruction in the Transcendental Meditation
Technique including three follow-up personal checks and advanced knowledge
sessions and a three day in-residence course for deep rest and maximum
reduction in stress and fatigue.
Time, planning and programme requirements
- Initial assessment visit including Medical Assessment Vedic Assessment
and Stress Profile Assessment 1.5 hours.
- Report on findings and Programme Design Consultations. This includes
Medical, Vedic and Stress Profile Programmes. 1.5 hours.
- Lifecare Coaching Sessions: 2 weeks and 6 weeks after Programme Design
- with Medical or Vedic Specialist. 45 minutes per session.
- Health Promotion Seasonal Checks – First year programme –during
the seasonal changes – September, December, March, and June.
45 minutes per session.
- TM Programme: Introductory presentation 1 hour. Preparatory presentation
1 hour. Personal Instruction 1 hour. On following 3 consecutive days
after day of instruction a 2 hour class per day. Over the following
three months: 3 personal checks of the technique. Allow 30 minutes per
check and 3 advanced knowledge seminars . Allow 2 hours per session.
Residential Course for deep experience and release of fatigue. Allow
3 nights and 2 .5 days.
